Nexusmods, which is a mod site for games like Skyrim, Fallout, etc, lets you donate to mod makers for their work. Letting people distribute the adfly links would only give them more money. He doesn't even want people to use the adfly links, instead he wants people to register to their forum, which is just stupid. It's understandable that they want compensation for their hard work, but that is just not in the spirit of mod making, and they shouldn't expect to get money for doing it.
